Kaufman County Hands-On Cemetery Preservation Workshop to be held Sat., October 10, 2015
Kaufman County Historical Commission is hosting a Hands-On Historic Cemetery Preservation Workshop on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The workshop will be held in the historic College Mound Cemetery in Kaufman County, Texas, and will be led by James “Rusty” Brenner of Texas Cemetery Restoration LLC.
The workshop will begin with a walking tour of the cemetery with explanations of the significance of some of the gravestones and then attendees will engage in hands-on learning of techniques for cleaning, leveling, and basic repair of gravestones. D/2 Biological Solution will be used to clean the gravestones and will be available for purchase from Cemetery Preservation Supply LLC.
